Please note that this item comes in two configurations: a Fine thread and a Coarse thread version.  This listing is for the COARSE thread flow meter.  

This replacement flow meter is intended for our new Rifeng stainless steel manifolds.  These flow meters allow the installer or operator to view the amount of flow that is going through each loop.  By viewing the gallons per minute (GPM) entering every loop of your radiant heating system, you can effectively balance the amount of flow using the gate valves and this flow meter.  It is important to balance your PEX loops so you are evenly heating your floor.
